Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG100

The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG100 is a high-end digital camcorder very similar to the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA100. Although the Xacti VPC-CG100 may lack a few of the Xacti VPC-CA100's features (such as being completely waterproof and sporting a double zoom range feature), the two camcorders are very close in terms of base functionality.

For example, the Xacti VPC-CG100 and Xacti VPC-CA100 are both capable of recording 1080p video, taking 14 megapixel images (although the Xacti VPC-CG100 actually boasts 14.4 vs the Xacti VPC-CA100's 14.3) and both are compatible with SD, SDHC and SDXC cards.

The Xacti VPC-CG100 is capable of switching between high definition camcorder and 14.4 megapixel camera at the push of a button and it even allows for the taking of 2 megapixel images while recording full HD video. Its compatibility with SDXC cards allows the Xacti VPC-CG100 to record more video at one time thanks to SDXC's maximum capacity of 64GB. Additionally, the Xacti VPC-CG100 sports an optional detachable 0.7x diameter lens for a wider frame of view.
