The second of two Sanyo VPC SD camcorders, the VPC-CA9 trades in its predecessor’s horizontal shape for a highly-stylish and revolutionary vertical frame instead. In addition, the VPC-CA9 features a 9 (versus 1.1) megapixel image sensor, a 5x (versus 30x) optical zoom lens, and a 2.5” LCD Screen. Like its predecessor, the VPC-CA9 also offers standard high-definition, progressive 720p (1280x720) recording at 30 fpm. Plus, the VPC-CA9 boasts a digital image stabilizer for both photos and videos, auto face tracking, a reverse sequential photo mode intended to help users capture more accurate images, an SD/SDHC card that reads up to 32GB, 43GB of internal memory, and a Lithium-ion battery with a 70 (versus 200) minute running time. The Sanyo DMX-CA9 retails for a slightly more affordable $599.95 (versus $649.95) and comes with a 90 day limited warranty.
