Samsung HMX-P300

Samsung's HMX-P300 is a digital camcorder developed as an easy-to-operate point, shoot, and share device for regular consumers. A higher-end version of the HMX-P100, the P300 boasts upgraded features such as a better CMOS sensor, a touch screen and connectivity options.

Either still photos or high definition video in 1080/30p, 720/60p and 720/30p can be shot using the P300's 8-megapixel CMOS sensor, which also features a 3x optical zoom not featured in the P100. On the back, a 3" 230K pixel touch screen allows users to browse and share photos easily. By connecting the P300 to a computer via its flip-out USB connector, users can download and share pre-selected videos with One Touch Sharing and IntelliStudio 2.0 software. Other features enhance the P300's versatility--it can shoot from multiple viewing angles--including horizontal and vertical planes--records to microSD/microSDHC for portability and includes autofocus and digital image stabilization for better home videos. Besides the standard black, the camcorder is also available in silver, white and pink.
